How many stickers fit on a sheet?

Sticker sheet packing counts how many equal rectangles fit inside a sheet after edge margins and gaps between designs. Along each axis the usable length is sheet size minus two margins; columns or rows equal floor((usable + gap) ÷ (sticker + gap)). Multiply columns by rows for stickers per sheet, and read unused strips to see if a slight size tweak gains another column. Kiss-cut sheets and printer bleeds may need larger margins than craft cutters. The same geometry powers the labels per sheet calculator; print margins also relate to print bleed.

Worked example

A4 210×297 mm, 40 mm stickers, 2 mm gaps, 5 mm margins → usable 200×287 → 4×6 = 24 stickers per sheet.

Limits and assumptions

Axis-aligned grid only. Nested, rotated or die-line irregular shapes are out of scope.

Frequently asked questions

Do gaps include cut kerf?

If your cutter removes material, fold kerf into the gap or sticker size so packed edges do not collide.

Portrait or landscape?

Swap sheet width and height if you rotate the sheet; sticker orientation follows how you measure sticker W and H.

Why is unused width left over?

The next sticker plus gap did not fit — shrink stickers, gaps or margins to reclaim a column.

How is this unlike labels-per-sheet?

Same packing idea; this page is framed for stickers and craft sheets rather than office label stock.
