How many cupcakes?

Party baking starts from guests × cupcakes per person, then a buffer for seconds and display. One each suits dessert after a meal; casual parties often plan 1.5–2 per guest. The tool rounds up after the buffer and shows how many standard tins or boxes you need at your tin size. Flavour variety does not change the count unless you want extras of popular iced designs. Scale a celebration cake with the cake serving calculator, and plan drinks with party drinks.

Worked example

24 guests × 1.5 cupcakes = 36; with 10% buffer → ceil(39.6) = 40 cupcakes. At 12 per tin that is 4 tins.
